quinault tribal court

The Quinault Nation has preserved the important right to a jury trial in all criminal and many civil cases. To protect this right, it is the duty of all residents of the Quinault Indian Nation’s reservation to serve as jurors when called. Jurors are summoned from a list provided by the Nation, together with lists of licensed drivers and registered voters. All residents are eligible, whether enrolled tribal members or not.

Jury trials are relatively rare, averaging perhaps two a year. In the unlikely event you are summoned to serve, you will receive complete instructions from the Clerk of the Court. The Court places its trust in you to fully perform your duty as a resident of the reservation
